Fairtax4me
So I guess that's part of the bellhousing? Did the engine fall off the lift and them break or did it break first?
Suba_GL_87
yep, engine fell off by the lift during bad winding. So I guess that's part of the bellhousing? Did the engine fall off the lift and them break or did it break first?
Fairtax4me
I suppose you could try it, but I would at least try to JB-Weld that section back on. JB is some tuff stuff when it's set. Clean everything really well, scuff the aluminum with very course grit sand paper, and put on two or three overlapping layers on both sides. I wouldn't try to lift the engine by that part when you put it back in the car, but the JB should hold it together well enough to run.
ivans imports
drill holes and plate it or run it have seen them run with one bell huseing bolt as long as is not broke where dowells are should be ok make sure broke pices are still in place could probly do some small welds without hurting block find a good aluimminum fabracator to look at it have seen some impresive welding on broken blocks as long as its kept cool in right places shouldent be problem to weld
