timzoy89
That opens several other possibilities. How long after the replacement of the driveshaft did this vibration begin? its been a good 3-4 months.. between driveshaft failure and banging noise. the transmission mount is a good possibility (i never checked it) tomorrow is sunday so i can actually work on it. timzoy89
Fixed ! Well at liest that issue. Lol It ended up being the carrier bearing mounting bushings. Do those that dont know, the carrier is held in with 2 bolts. Those two have rubber/steel bushings to keep vibrations from entering the cab. I ended up having 1/2 of those 2 piece bushings backwards on each bolt. There for when the bolt was tightened down. The carrier assembly was still able to move up and down a good 1/4". After up and down with the bolts a good 5-10 times I finally noticed it was the bushings. Put back correctly and bam, no noise.
