Ronald_Gunther
Well ill tell you one thing, its supposed to be there! I just pulled the same thing off one today, and thinking it has something to with keeping a consistent pressure for the CV axles...

GeneralDisorder
Cone washer is a dealer only part. It's actually a mechanical shaft locking ring. Such things are common in machinery but not in automotive. GD
Stubies Subie
Cone washer is a dealer only part. It's actually a mechanical shaft locking ring. Such things are common in machinery but not in automotive. GD Does anyone happen to have a dealer part number for that cone washer? I wouldn't mind having a few new ones on hand. I had two extras out of a wrecking yard, and I've already used those up and am now out of spares.

ShawnW
Sweet, that one looked BAD but not the worst I have seen. That would be the one where that part was gone from a brake shop losing it and not informing the customer.
