cbeasley
On a motor that does not have a carburetor, i wouldnt know the first place to spray starter fluid. And i havent checked the spark either but when trying to start the motor it seems to have a lot of friction and has a hard time turning over. When i took off the cam pulley? Where it holds the serpentine belts, i had it at top dead center, 0, then when i took off the plastic cover over the timing belt the triangle on the front of the cam was pointing at a timing mark? Cougar
An easy place to spray starter fluid into is the air filter or the filter box but it sounds like you may have used the wrong timing marks or may be 180 degrees off.
