WeezWagon
86 DL missing when idling. Seems like this could be the culprit but what is it? Thanks much
skishop69
Hazzarding a guess here. EGR solenoid. Does the miss stop when it's disconnected?
Gloyale
Looks like the Evap solenoid. probably not the issue with your miss. I would look into the condition of the plugs and wires, cap and rotor.
WeezWagon
When I unplug the one of the two vacuum lines it doesn't effect how the motor runs, but the other one (one of the green male ends) is broken off so I cant get a reliable test. Messing with it doesn't seem to effect the car while running. But if I stop the motor and unplug the line running to it it wont even start.... Maybe its the bowl drain for the carb? Gloyale
Maybe its the bowl drain for the carb? it's not that. Bowl vent solenoid is on the carb itself. It's the evap solenoid for the carbon canister. You can plug the port that supplies the vacuum.
Brat78
check your ignition components. I had a spark plug arcing right out of the box last week.....was causing smoking and running like crap on my new motor install. Really had me worried for a minute. WeezWagon
Right on Thanks guys. I will keep looking for the source of my miss. Car was infested with mice for years while it sat under a tree so maybe some wiring issues or something I haven't yet found.
