Need advice - Turbo Forester engine and transmission into nonturbo Forester

I bought a 2010 Forester XT Limited at an auction. It had been in a bad rollover accident but it still runs and drives. I bought a 2009 non-turbo Forester minus the engine and transmission that had an almost perfect body. My plan is to put the engine, turbo and transmission into the 2009 non-turbo Forester. I am concerned because as I study the wiring diagrams there seem to be a lot of differences for the turbo and non-turbo models.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks!

Marc

You would either have to have the harness's merged by someone with the know how, or I'm sure you could swap the entire harness and dash over to yours where they are the same body style.

So if I transplant the dash as well as the engine, turbo and transmission I won't have any connectors joining wires that shouldn't be joined?

I am not positive, but I know there will be much fewer. But I am still betting that you could do it without having any connections, you may just have to take it further than just the dash and harness, you may have to replace other sections of harness as well.

I bet if you yard all the wiring from the rolled over one and transplant it into the good one, then it might work.

Yeah i would try this. Your basically gonna have to strip down the turbo car and put everything electric into the non turbo car.
