AdventureSubaru
I'm intrigued. you been there before? What's to expect? And better that I bring a the lifted Impreza or my 87 toyota pickup?
mcbrat
not a rock in the place.... http://www.indysworld.com/ci4wi/2010/pics/castana-2010.html with my Brat, prior to the solid axles, I used to burn a lot of clutch material to make some of the hills, and had to wait for the others to fully clear the hill so I could make a run at it. it helps if you have a welded rear or locker. thre are some areas I wouldn't take a EA based vehicle... I had a couple of trouble spots last year because my gearing still needs some help with the 36's....
AdventureSubaru
Man, could be tough either way. Got advantages and disadvantages to both. Impreza - Forester/spacer lift, 215/75/15 tires - good power, no true 4 wheel drive. 87 Toyota pickup - Carbed 22r, IFS, 31/10.50/15 tires of varying tread - not so much on power, dual range 4x4 5 speed. most of what I've been through have been the rocky hills of central Pennsylvania so all that dirt looks new to me. mcbrat
We had folks from Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and Wisconsin show up. about 44 rigs total. had a really good time... But it was really dusty due to the dry conditions here this year... we had wiped down the whole inside of the brat last week before heading for the event....
