texasjack
I have an 83 GL10 with a 1.8 pushrod engine. The carb is fubar so I am going to install a Weber. The current intake manifold is for a 1 barrel carb. I have several intake manifolds for 1.6 engines. My question is will the 1.6 manifolds fit the 1.8 engine? Thank you Jack
Leeroy
No, too short.
lostbrat
I have EA81 intakes should you need one or two???? $
Crazyeights
EA82 manifolds will also fit on an EA81.
ShawnW
They will-but you better not want Power steering, etc. Gets crowded around the front where the thermostat housing is. I would stick with the ea81 for its simpler adapter too. Both available thru the shop-link below.
wentz912
So by that logic, a guy could put an EA81 intake on his EA82 to simplify things and install his Weber?

TajMan
I vote Wentz for question of the year! Well, looks like I want an ea82 intake now for use with custom conversion on ea81 with a mitsubishi turbo and megasquirt with fuel injection. ea81-ea82 same width between the intake ports on two heads huh? Easier than building a custom aluminum intake manifold, with the coolant passages integrated with the stock manifold there.. TomRhere
Yes both the EA82 carb and SPFI intakes will fit an EA81 engine. There are clearance issues around the EA81 disty with both, but they are easily worked around. I've ran an EA82 intake with Weber on 2 different EA81 engines. Currently have an EA81 in my '88 Wagon running the SPFI. Even have the EA82 poweerstering pump mounted to the EA81. Proper belt tensioner setup is still to be found for that though.
