Reason01
Does anyone know the offset and bolt pattern on a 97 Legacy??? And I'm think on getting rims that are 8 inches wide for the front, and 9 inches wide on the back. Is this good or it wont work??? Let me know how wide of a rim I can get with out any rubbing. Oh and I'm getting 18 inch rims if you need to know. Please any info will help. I want to get thses SOON!!!!!!!!
hklaine
Assuming they are the same as mine...5x100 bolt pattern w/ 55mm offset. Make sure to check clearance on the rear spring seat. And with something that wide you will want to check the clearance on the inside of the fenders as well. -Heikki
Setright
I would strongly recommend using same size front and back. Also, 18 inches is a bit OTT. You will lose all sidewall compliance, go for some 17 inchers, wrapped in 215/40 tyres. 7.5 inch wide rims should be enough. Going to 18 is for looks only :-)
Legacy777
as mentioned 18's are going to be a little on the big side. Also, 8" & 9" rims are way to wide. You'll rub for sure. You should be fine with some 17 x 7" rims and tires that keep your overall rolling diameter the same as the stock tire.
Reason01
Ok guys thanks for the help. Ill go with a 17" rim. I think i'll go 7.5" wide though. Besides 17's are less exspansive than
Reason01
I want to go with a style that looks stock. Like the same pattern as what the GT has already. Im having a problem finding anything that has the right offset and bolt pattern. Any ideas???
