Have been running into subaru and suzuki engines that have been factory rebiulds that are bored to 0.10 over witch is not a avaliable size aftermarket when i try to get rings from dealer a'm told no longer avalibble cant use std rings and can only get 0.20 aftermarket makes theese engines almost imposibble to rebiuld why did the factory rebiuld engines use theese odd ball size pistons and anyone had any luck finding theese rings the suzuki 1.6 is the worst just no rings avalibble and no oversize pistons ether bang my head on the wall very frustrating

One thing you might be able to do is take .010 or less off the .020 over ringset.

I don't know your particular mfg and that might not be acceptable. But I'm sure some rings you can do that ok'ed by the mfg. You'll have a bit more tension on them, of course.

the subaru ones are still avalibble but grossly expensive over 350$ the suzuki ones are not avalibble anymore the only thing i can do is get the 0.20 ones and file the gap to fit is very disapointing. I know subaru did thiss but suzuki to what a pain when i try to order the 0.20 pistons can only find one who stocks one oversize piston anyway none of my supplyers can get a oversize piston for a tracker 1.6 engine parts are geting very hard to find here howbout the rest of the world or is it just canada ?

You may be aware of this but there are machines for this motorized, dial indicator and all to take off a set amount in one go. 2, 3 hundred bucks. Never used one but they get rave reviews for ease of use and just getting the job done quickly.

Have to do enough to make that worth while, of course. I have no idea why Subaru rings are so expensive...I've studied it and can't figure it out.

Other ring mfgs just don't charge that much for the same quality.
