1 Lucky Texan Posted August 21, 2012 Share Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) If the breather hoses to the heads and/or the PCV valve stuck open and/or it's hose are misrouted or clogged in some way, you can get oil in the intake. For instance a stuck open PCV will allow boost pressure into the crankcase which could push oil out the breather hoses. Or perhaps the PO tried to install catch-cans or an air/oil separator and did it poorly. Still no CEL? crazyman03 Posted August 21, 2012 Author Share Posted August 21, 2012 Ok, yea. by fine i mean it spins, no In/out play and no wiggle play. it does have a lot of oil on the intake side - probably the reason for the low oil problem and it does need to be rebuilt with as many miles as it has on it. The bonkers part is: no CEL. Yes, the light works on initial "key-on" test and Yes, I've plugged a reader in just for giggles and returned no codes :-/. We were thinking of putting it all back together and putting a boost gauge on it to see.. kinda wish we did that in the first place, though it really looked like it was shot. -Justin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
