subaruguru Posted August 4, 2012 Share Posted August 4, 2012 Hey i have an ea81 1986 hatchback i have swapped over the 2.2 out of a legacy cut down the harness wired it up and it runs great aside from a sputter i get at WOT almost like it cuts out 2 cylinders. I know i am getting fuel and i am using a surge tank so that is all well and good. This one has me kinda stumped if anyone has had a similar issue help would be awesome. Thanks Rob. subaruguru Posted August 13, 2012 Author Share Posted August 13, 2012 not a clue on the one i got from you i donated it to Bill (the beast i drive) for a rebuild i ended up buying an engine from an old mexican guy in the lower valley it was sitting in his back yard on a pallet and under a tarp and 3 rugs.
