tincan
Will this work? My fronts are taking a dump and no rockauto doesnt carry any for the Loyale.
GeneralDisorder
No. Much too large. Get springs from a yard or the dealer. GD
tincan
...a yard or the dealer. If i hadn't tried both, I would say that'd be feasable. Except they told me the car and its parts are "obsolete, phased out", and gave me a hard time asking for anything.
GeneralDisorder
Regardless of what your dealer says the parts are availible. The springs run about $60 each on the front from Subaru. Call a dealer that doesn't employ morons. GD
tincan
Call a dealer that doesn't employ morons. GD Try $90 a piece from a Westchester dealership. I'm not all knowing, so how should I know where to call without a recommendation?

torxxx
There is a thread somewhere on here about using Ford Tempo front springs on the front of a Loyale. Search for it its on the site somewhere
86 Wonder Wedge
There is a thread somewhere on here about using Ford Tempo front springs on the front of a Loyale. Search for it its on the site somewhere I think 2.7 Loyale used them, but with 4Runner (IIRC) struts? But I believe the ride height was much higher.. What about when you do the 5-lug imp/lego swaps? with the impreza struts, don't you use the imp springs and EA hats? or did I read that wrong? TheLoyale
PM xbeerd, he has done the swap. Also, has done something with Accord springs iirc.

92_rugby_subie
Caboobaroo said 93-2001 Impreza ones will fit on an XT6 which is 5 lug and on an RX which I would think is the same as a Loyale? Unless his RX is 5 lug and I missed that detail somewhere haha. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=122491
torxxx
the RX and the XT6 use completely different suspension. XT6 = Impreza suspension RX = EA82 suspension. The RX most likely had a 5 lug swap done if they used impreza springs
tincan
Cool, really appreciate the info on all this, guys. I'm going to order the parts from my upstate dealership. They have stock still and even though the prices are higher, since they're new, unused parts. Am I reading correctly that wagon springs are accepted by the sedans? I know I read up about them being "stiffer" for the rear, but what about the fronts? Again, thanks a lot, guys.
