High mpg Sube in the works?

Recommended Posts

Maybe more tweaks to the newer FB motors? The FB20 with the CVT in the Impreza is EPA estimated at 30 combined, 27 cty/36 hwy. Which is leaps and bounds above the previous generations.

Might be tricky keeping the price down by adding hybrid stuff into the equation, but I wouldn't be surprised for that to be an option.

My wife and I just bought a 2013 Impreza Sport Premium with the CVT. Zippy little car, I love stick shift but the CVT was better in my opinion. Glad we got it, my wife is averaging just over 35 mpg commuting to work. Can't wait to take it on a highway trip and see what it will do.

No more tribeca's. Subaru's niche is being an AWD car mfg, otherwise they may not be able to compete with other cars in the same class.

Actually I think I should have worded that differently... I wish FWD was optional on the Impreza and Legacy models. Some people seem to think "I don't need AWD so Subaru is completely out of the question". But then again, with that mindset they don't deserve a Subaru.
