ergo
Is there a really high mpg Sube in on the horizon like a Toyota Preus? My 2000 Legacy gets about 18-20 in the city and I do mostly city driving these days.

bendecker
+1 on the diesel! I's really frustrating that they are all over Europe and not available here.
1 Lucky Texan
maybe check the Rumors thread at NASIOC. big changes coming in 2016 for all US cars due to CAFE so, maybe we'll see something? a hybrid with Toyota technology?
nickb21
Maybe more tweaks to the newer FB motors? The FB20 with the CVT in the Impreza is EPA estimated at 30 combined, 27 cty/36 hwy. Which is leaps and bounds above the previous generations. Might be tricky keeping the price down by adding hybrid stuff into the equation, but I wouldn't be surprised for that to be an option. Subaru_dude
I kinda wish they'd make the AWD an option on regular Legacys and Imprezas, that'd be at least a couple more mpg. Outbacks, Tribecas and Foresters should keep AWD standard imho.
nipper
No more tribeca's. Subaru's niche is being an AWD car mfg, otherwise they may not be able to compete with other cars in the same class.
MilesFox
Tribeca = 2nd gen svx but as a minivan. no one wants it. bring it back as a sports coupe /opinion

My wife and I just bought a 2013 Impreza Sport Premium with the CVT. Zippy little car, I love stick shift but the CVT was better in my opinion. Glad we got it, my wife is averaging just over 35 mpg commuting to work. Can't wait to take it on a highway trip and see what it will do.
Subaru_dude
No more tribeca's. Subaru's niche is being an AWD car mfg, otherwise they may not be able to compete with other cars in the same class. Actually I think I should have worded that differently... I wish FWD was optional on the Impreza and Legacy models. Some people seem to think "I don't need AWD so Subaru is completely out of the question". But then again, with that mindset they don't deserve a Subaru.
