Scooner
Sorry, i meant the spindle that the entire spare tire rack rotates on. I was wondering where you bought it from.
NorthCoast
seems like i have left this page in the dark well yes i got the tire mount idea from northcoast .. but i didnt like how the trunk had to be smashed in ...so thats why there is space but have no fear for that space will be filled with extra gas cans at some point , and as for the hub im not sure i understand the question ... if you are asking where the tire sits and bolts its just a piece of metal circled and drilled out ..with lug studs welded too.. Tire mount was all Monstaru. The trunk didn't have to be smashed in. That was just body damage from getting rear-ended by a larger wheeler. I do like the latch system better. Might have to figure a way to incorporate that. Nick... the reason it looks like the gap is bigger is because it's mounted higher. Same vertical plane but my hinge point is about 6" lower.
ryot1
so it was the all famous monstaru..... oops.. either way it was genius....i thought the trunk was purposely smashed to sink the tire in .. i noticed an imediate diffence between the two ..but i guess the 6'' drop explains that..at first look i was ify of the space on mine but it didn't last long once i day dreamed & pictured a few extra gas cans and starred at the car every second of the day i like how it turned out...ALLOT ..the extra gas cans is gonna be interesting ..i have an idea B)mwahahahaha ..but u guys gotta wait and see ..its going to be very interesting and new (to the best of my knowledge)..on how im going to incorporate them into the car ... ?

[/quote That is the same tire mount. I threw that together one day When I had some time, with what I had laying around. It coast me zero dollars to produce . If I were to do it again, I would by a latch for it, and use a replaceable bearing swing out. But for my first one , I think it turned out ok.lol
