northguy
I don't know how long your warranty is, but if it's still in effect, by all means, have them do it. If no longer in effect, you can put the oatmeal-based fluid in, but it seems to be a bandaid on the artery approach to solving the problem. If the vehicle was overheated, there may be an extensive bill waiting to repair the problem.
Crashton
I have 85K on my Forester. The dealer put the miricle mouse milk in my radiator & put a rear spiffy new sticker saying that they did it on the radiator core support. I feel this is at most a bandaide. It's free & it's a recall so why not I say? The only reason I had this done is because now the warranty on my head gaskets has been extended to 8 years or 100,000 miles. Keep your paper work though. It's been raining here for a week & the sticker is about unreadable. Total time to have this done was 20 minutes. I'd also bet that they replace your head gaskets again....for free. brus brother
Ditto on getting them to replace your gaskets again/ resurface heads and THEN put the oatmeal in for good measure! Show no mercy, they admit they have a problem now. Did you have to pay the first time around as I think they are reimbursing those who paid themselves before they admitted the problem. Good luck.
