cholms
was wondering if they would fit on the 99 ej22 motor before i get to far ?
LeoneTurbo
Yes as long as you use the head gasket for those 90 heads. But don't expect any performance gains going this route.

Gloyale
This engine will now be an interference engine. The 99 pistons aren't notched properly for the 90 heads. It'll work but make sure you use a new belt, idlers, and waterpump.
cholms
already bought the timing belt, idlers, and water pump. im gonna call a machine shop and see how much it would cost to get the 90 heads ported and polished they have 235000 miles on them
idosubaru
with that kind of mileage new valve stem seals would be nice. i'd be interested in buying the 99 heads if you have them.
