Mechanical_misfit
Thats awesome! I wish you could still find these cars around here.
ShawnW
Don't forget the dome light lens and if its got Vinyl floor that might be cool in your Brat. I just bought 4 of the lenses from Subaru today-been trying to buy up things that I like from Subaru when I have a little extra money before they obselete the part number and toss the stuff. TOsborn
Nice find! If you end up parting this out, I'd be interested in a ton of bits for my hatch.
mcbrat
Yes. The clear dome lense is there and the vinyl floor mats too. The drivers side door and mirror came from a black turbo though it was painted white long ago.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
The car seems to be in Good conditions to be a Good restoration project. (But is hard to tell by a single photo) I want to ask you very kindly: Why don't you restore it? ... too many Soobs? Kind Regards.

Kind Regards. it's too rusty underneath, plus I have a bunch of work I want to do to my firebird, plus other house things need attention. the only reason I even looked at this was because I was looking for a spare ea81... but for the price, I couldn't pass on it, just to get the doors and fenders.... I've got a feeling the larger parts will be staying with some locals....
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Thank you for your kind answer... I believe it is smart to buy a whole car for parts, it is easier than search each part individually. Kind Regards.
Mechanical_misfit
I can totally respect buying that one for a parts car, but it still really sucks to see what would be a "serviceable" ea81 here, so easily parted out further west. You've seen what we're working with in the east, its crazy. I'm going to make a full time business out of buying western cars and selling them here. what color interior does this have? I might be interested in some parts if you are chopping it up.
mcbrat
in a few weeks I start the part out of this... Items for sale will be: Wheels/Tires (missing one ceter cap) Vinyl Floor (not sure how good it is) EA71 Engine with side mount starter bell housing (coolant blowing into airbox thru PS PCV tube, headgasket leak assumed) Items I'm keeping: Round Headlight Set-up Fenders Doors Seat rails dome light I don't think there is much more worth grabbing. And next in line for Part-out is this: I'm buying it back from the guy I sold it to 10 years ago... This pic is 10 years old. the body is now shot. captive nuts and structure that lift blocks are attached to are seperating from body. it's got a weber'd EA81 and D/R in it that I'm keeping, along with the wheels... I don't know if it has the brush guard on it still or not...
bratman18
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of those brush gaurds.
The Dude Abides
My brushguard.
The Dude Abides
I need some parts, but you know this. Possibly the lift.
The Beast I Drive
If you would be willing to separate the bellhousing from the EA71 from the std hatch, I'd be interested in the belhousing, flywheel and clutch assembly. PM me if you want to go that route. -Bill
