Reason01
I just bought a STi cat-back from my friend for $100. Its off of his 2004 STi:slobber: . Does anyone know if I can bolt it on a 97 Legacy Sedan? Or do i need to custom bend the mid pipe and/or do some welding??
Subie Gal
it will not be a bolt on. you'll need to likely rotate flanges to meet up... maybe even custom mid pipe also you will in all likeliness need to relocate one or more of the rear muffler/exhaust hangers... any real exhaust tuner shop can sort this for you. good luck! Reason01
What if I order a Stomung mid-pipe for my car? Will I just need to tweak the muffler to fit?
DerFahrer
I didn't know it would be that drastic of a difference. My 91 Legacy has a 98 Legacy GT exhaust on it right now, and I love it, especially since I paid only for shipping . It bolted up absolutely perfectly. Since a 2.5RS exhaust is very similar, and I know someone with a WRX exhaust on their RS, I wouldn't doubt a WRX exhaust fitting my car either.
