subaru_styles
hey all. I'd like to arrange a caravan (when the time arrises) up to hood river this august. wanted to get an idea of how many people will be coming through bend on the way up.
Dr. RX
With the exception of the few that I know that live in and around Bend, I doubt that many will be driving through there. It could be on the way for those coming up from Reno, but I'll bet they go over to Sacamento and come up I-5. Next time I'm in Sisters, I'll have to look up up. subaru_styles
yeah i figured anyone coming from cali on I5 can take hwy 97 in weed up to hood river. id guess the distance is about the same as taking it I5 up to portland and east to hoodriver
NV Zeno
Actually, I may be travelling that route, if I can get another Sube to travel with. I-5 is 100 miles out of my way, I'd like to have a more direct route to WCSS (You reading this Brian:) ?).

Honda's 86 Brat
50+ cars would rock on I5, Can you imagine a huge caravan going and passing all these cars? That would be killer...
Adam N.D.J.
We're gonna have at least 10 rigs coming from the Oregon boarder up, and passing through P-town there is prolly going to be close to 50ish by the time we get there. I thought about going up through Bend, but it is a bit slower, and harder to keep rigs together, we're gonna have like 10ish coming from the Medford area, at least. s'ko
Looks like I am the farthest north. Where is a good rally point to meet a bunch of people? I am planning to leave on the probably on the 26th and can meet people at a common rally point. Is anyone willing to put up three people for the night then we can all leave together on the 27th for WCSS6. Going to have to try some long distance runs before the trip. I am pretty confident that my OBS will make the trip but the BRATs are a question. BW
Caboobaroo
Well Andrew, Jessica, Jon, Kit and myself (I dunno if I'm forgetting anyone) are leaving to Hood River from Albany and for those who don't know where that is, its about 30 minutes south of Salem right on I-5. So that would roughly be 5 more people depending on how many cars we have going but DEFINATLY the Beer Wagon is goin:D:D:D
s'ko
Ok I made a mistake in the last post.... I am the farthest SOUTH....... I can hook up at Albany with you guys. I am sure that since we have plenty of time till WCSS6 we can work out when later. BW
Caboobaroo
Well Andrew just told me that he's picking Snowman up from the airport in Protland but I will still be here and we can all caravan up there together. It'll be great seeing all the Subarus on the freeway....people will give us some funny looks:D
Flowmastered87GL
for the part of the network that ends up on I-5... wouldnt it be great for us all to meet in Gresham (east side of portland) with the northern group then ALL caravan as a multi-state suby caravan down I-84 to Hood River??
s'ko
That would ROCK. I am going to see if I can get a HUGE SUBBY FLAG to mount on the back of the BRAT.
