SubiBratz Posted January 23, 2013 Share Posted January 23, 2013 Stock cams are the way to go in my opinion. The little extra hp is not worth the headaches that comes from the ecu(obd1). I think the obd2 is a little smarter and can correct everything that the cams cause. I am running stock cams and the motor runs out great. Never a crazy idle or anything weird. 1-3-2-4 Posted October 19, 2013 Share Posted October 19, 2013 When my timing jumped (about 11-13 teeth) it ended up being valve to valve damage.. however at least two intake valves I think it was is maybe about 1 mm bent 25D heads the valves are closer to the piston tops, and at a steeper angle. That's why they hit pistons. Additionally, they can be valve to valve interference too, if the IN. and EX. Cams get out of time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
