monstaru
What does everyone think. #1 22re#2 EJ Maximum Free Flow Rate (gph)#1: 55 #2 45 Maximum Pressure Range (psi)#1: 95 #2 100 Minimum Free Flow Rate (gph)#1: 55 #2 45 Minimum Pressure Range (psi)#1: 60 #2 80 Are these Fuel pump PSI's close enough to crossover ?Mainly my idea of getting away with utilizing the 22RE fuel pump.. I think It is possible that I can take the fuel pumps and swap them. They are very closely related. That is if I shouldna use the 22RE pump... Numbchux
I don't really follow what number goes with what, but something doesn't make sense there. Neither pump is capable of putting out 60psi. Both engines require about 45psi (I had to ditch the 22RE pump to supply my 4.3 with the 60psi that it needed), and I would imagine the volume to be quite similar. monstaru
They both put out about the required amount for the other. BUT, the max/mins are different. I am thinking it would be ok to utilize thed 22re pump with a surge tank up front for off camber angles. Am I thinking straight? lol
Numbchux
From the 1988 Toyota FSM. 22RE should operate at 33-37psi From the 1992 and 1998 Subaru FSMs. EJ should operate at 36.3 psi Non-turbo EJs require a minimum of 80 lph (21gph) of volume, per the FSM. I could not find a similar specification in the Toyota FSMs that I have.... So yea, they should be perfect

monstaru
K,So. I have taken an entire EJ Lego dash and cut it back, Then cut it back some more .Then some more. Then realized that it might just be easier to wire the Toyota dash to the Subie wiring. It is such a learning process. LOL DOH! I have had donations for an overflow tank by a buddy that just did his refrigerant for better AC . So that's awesome.. Is coming together well. Just need to focus on the little things. lol.. cheers Edited August 28, 2013 by monstaru

monstaru
I started cleaning up the EJ18 I will be stabbing in there. I plan on putting it in all freshened up to get her running and driving. That way I can test out my suspension and make sure that my front axle does not hit the oil pan. I am thinking about keeping the entire harness for ease. That will be fun to put in. I have found a couple of hiccups in the tubing. Gotta get on fixing those. Bunch of little stuff left. haven't BEEN very motivated to do the dirty work..lol Still need to swap the shift fork around on the t-case, and seal it . I'll hit the parts store in the morning, and get some more brakleen. Then on to the cleaning.. cheers

jt76
I have a buddy down the road with a CNC plasma table. He is going to be cutting me a mount like the Front Range Offroad DIY mount.I will be using that once I get it this week. I should have the rest of my axle rebuild stuff by Friday, including my hub gears. Then I will be putting that stuff together. I am looking at trading the tires I have due to them being radials..... But with my twin stick almost done,I have alot of irons in the fire right now. Cheers this is kind of funny.. my buddy wrecked his wrx and we were planning on putting his motor and tranny in my 1987 yota. any chance I could get a print on that mount? monstaru
I ended up making my own. the t case mount anyway. My buddy basically draws stuff on the fly,he is kinda really good that way. So I dunno if he kept the file or not. There is a website that has some free share files with a link on Pirate4x4 ,or an internet search ...... Umm.....there Is no divorced Toyota adapters anymore. So ,if you would. Private message me and tell me how you decide to go about that. Cheers By the way.if you are talking about the engine to trans adapter, that's a Bill Hincher special. And there is not a damn thing funny about it. Its flat out awesome:) Edited September 10, 2013 by monstaru

monstaru
I have been working on my Winch project and am almost done . Test fit after cleaning up After some Ultra Grey and some shakiness, I put all the bits and pieces back on. WOOT, NEW MOTOR W-8905 HD F/R tWoWaY bitches! On to the next mounting issue. The 90=14452 Superwinch contactor to the Warn control box plate Test fitting the New Crawlarado Aluminum cover Now, all the directions I am seeing say to attach a ground wire directly from the battery to the body of the motor.Where in the hell am I supposed to do that lol cheers :redneck:
Mugs
Looking good. What about that bolt that is sticking out of the back of the motor? Are you sure you just can run it to a ground mount some where else? Are you going to run amsteel winch line?
monstaru
There is no bolt "STICKI NG OUT", But I am gonna weld one on.. No prissy bullshit here. Loggers use steel cable. Dangerous as it is, with a good blanket it does drop when it breaks. For rocks and almost no mud, Those ropes are pretty good. But as muddy as it is over here , cable is better. cheers Looking good. ezapar
You gotta get on the trail to get stuck to need that pretty little thing!!! But seriously. Harbor Freight sells a cheap little deally that you can plug into your winch and have it be remote via a key fob. Cool stuff.
monstaru
I am more the hands on type. And besides, I only built it to pull jeeps out.......
