First time poster here and I've searched the threads already posted on this subject so sorry if I missed the answer.

Here's the scoop: 1993 Subaru Legacy "La Flamma Blanca "

She stalled out while driving through some snow the other day. Uncharacteristic of the car. I've had it for about 10,000 miles and haven't had any problems. She just turned 202,000.

I checked the basics: Fuel, air, and spark. NO spark at the plug, but the Diamond F-569 coil was getting power, so I bought a new coil. Wasn't the problem. So now I'm wondering if this is going to be a phantom electrical issue I'll have to chase around for weeks and hundreds of dollars or if its just the cam pos switch?

Cougar? Bueller?

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated!

Happy soobin

Oh and by the by I tried checking to see if it would throw a code with the self diagnostic computer but unfortunately the engine has to be running first:slobber:

Perhaps the tensioner is causing the problem. I would try putting on a new belt and turn the engine over by hand to see if that shows up the trouble. Removing the plugs will make it easier to turn the engine over.

I second this
