Brat78
I can't get my weber to stop dieseling. I have retarding to timing to just above where it starts to run bad, and thought that would help but it has not. Has anyone else encountered this problem? cubastreet
I remember having this problem when I installed my weber, I think it turned out to be the idle mixture screw.
naru
Retarding timing excessively increases temps possibly making dieseling more likely. Idle speed too high will too. If it still diesels w/correct timing, idle speed and idle mixture adjustment, try one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Weber-32-36-DGEV-ICU-Idle-cut-off-valve-solenoid-fuel-shut-off-valve-DGEV-/400375516204?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d383d8c2c&vxp=mtr
Brat78
I dropped my idle, and made some mixture screw adjustments, and will report back. Thanks for the link as well. I may get a solenoid for good measure.
Brat78
Run-on eliminated, although it smells rich. Am going to lean it out a tad to try and find the sweet spot. If only I had a timing strobe.
