There are basically only 4 bolts to undo to remove the dash and I do not believe the welded in mounts for these changed from '73 to early '77. I should qualify that by saying I only have experience with the '74 and '76 dashes... Never seen the early '72 - '73 dash in person so you would have to check the mountings carefully to make sure they match. I think the bigger problem would be the different wiring harness used....
