mightGETaSUBARU
Hello from Missouri! Recently purchased a 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon, 186k miles on the, automatic (BOO!!!) AWD, nearly perfect interior, all service and repair documents going back to day 1, recently had the timing chains and sprockets done, new valve cover gaskets and the engine was replaced about 75k miles ago according to the service records, runs and drives great, small oil pan leak, only code being thrown is the evap code, AWD is function great, a few minor dings here and there only paid $1,700 and best of all it is REALLY easy to get the kids in and out
ShawnW
Welcome! Your car has a timing belt rather than a chain but that's great that it was serviced. Its pretty common for those to have had an engine replaced. Check out the Newer Generation of Subarus area if you run into any more questions.
