nipper
I never heard of this brand. They are on clearance sale everywhere for a low price as it seems like the company went belly up. I would just be using it for a bike rack. Anyone heard of them before?

I think mostly places like Whitney, Northern Tool, etc sold their stuff. Can't imagine it screwing up a bike rack. In a former life for many years I installed and wired a lot of hitches (late 70's) back when cars had frames and metal bumpers. But I have no experience with the Putnam's. MilesFox
see if you can find a part number and cross-reference it with the manufacturer. a lot of hitches have the same part numbers although the brand or retailer may be different.

Manufacturers Part Number: 48107 I have only found one person asking about them looking for a part or something and saying it is built with heavier steel then Reese. On the plus side I havent found out a single bad thing about them either aside from being out of business.
MilesFox
I could not find any cross reference of this number 48107 with anything at u-haul or other manufacturers.

jp98
Would you mind sharing the web site where you got it from? At that price I might be interested.

nipper
OK its in, fairly easy except for one minor detail. If anyone orders this, before you start just make sure all the washers fit the bolts supplied. Mine did not (74 cent fix) but can be annoying if you don't have them lying around or another car to make the parts run
