dssenne
I bought a used 1999 Outback Limited that didn't come with any remotes for the keyless entry. I plan on buying a couple replacements, but in the meantime, is there a way to turn off the "audible signal option" (honking horn) without using a keyless remote? I really don't like having the horn honk loudly when I come home at night. The manual only lists instructions using the keyless remote (which I don't have). dssenne
Well I found the solution to this: I was pressing the small "lock/unlock" toggle switch at the front of the controls. If I lock the door using the lock button that's by the opener on the door - no honking. While I still want to get a couple keyless remotes, this is good till then. brus brother
So, you are able to lock the door using the inside switch then close/lock the door? Good way to lock your keys in the car by mistake! I'll have to see if I can do the same on my car.
