Caboobaroo
If I wasn't in the middle of moving, I would be all over it. Besides,it would look nice next to my other free ER27. What all has been done to it? What was the weak point in the ER? You say you'll never run another one again. This is good to know as I'm planning to build one for my XT6. ivans imports
the weak point was the pistons at 15 psi boost shatered between the ring lands i broke two on same side replaced them with loyale pistons same pistons. I will not run it agian because it was heavy for the hp it made also it will not bolt up to my 4eat. Is a good motor was runing well after i fixed it and it reved to the moon best reving subaru motor to date
WoodsWagon
The shattered pistons may not have been a weak point if you had been running water/meth injection then like you are now. How many pistons did all your race engines go through before you started using meth? There are EA/ER to 4eat bellhousings out there, so you could bolt it to your 4eat with factory parts. Just putting that out as an option, but the longer nose/worse approach angle and poor flowing heads are still downsides in a race buggy. Caboobaroo
Is it stock or have you done any internal work to it? I want it but I'm in the process of moving, getting married and buying a house so my free space is currently none.
WoodsWagon
Damn, 27 broken pistons is quite an accomplishment, if you can call it that lol. At least you aren't splitting cylinder walls like Reddevil was.
ivans imports
stock other than two loyale pistons instead of xt pistons same ones anyway yes i'm the king of the pistonbroke team thiss is over 10 years of racing have scatred a few engines to we exploded a 2.2 twin cam turbo engine at 100 mile race let go at 7000 rpms with nos and extra feul turned into a part throwing fire ball broke two con rods in half whent thru block shaterd intake. But crank came out and went into next motor and is still going thiss was the most violent motor failure ive had. And is th reason i wear a fire suit and have a winshild and a full face helmet without that safty gear i woulda got badly burned as whole car was a fireball had to bail out
