bennycisco
When I depress the gas while driving, the car will stutter and hesitate for a bit and then accelarate, but then after a bit will stutter and hesitate. However, while idleling in neutral and depressing the gas pedal, the motor revs fine - -getting gas, I assume not fuel pump (changed fuel filter today). What else should I look at? jj421
Make sure your spark plug wires are correctly orientated. Sounds like what happened to me when I swapped my motor. Turns out I had the wire for cylinder #2 and #4 mixed up.
bennycisco
Thanks, but I have not messed with the plug wires.

rdweninger
Check your timing with a timing light. Vacumn advance connected (no cracks in hose). A new cap and rotor might be a good idea.
Gloyale
Check for any loose hoses, cracked and brittle vac hoses, etc.....but if you don't find anything obvious there, change your sparkplugs and possibly the wires too if they are old. NGK plugs.
86 Wonder Wedge
Either borrow or buy a vacuum gauge. Get a reading and see what it says/what she's doing. Could have a vacuum leak, off timing, fuel problem or a dirty/bad MAF. Also make sure the green connectors are disconnected by the firewall.
