The car: 2000 Legacy GT EJ25 SOHC

So on my sisters car, in 2010, she started getting a code to replace the MAP sensor, easy enough - Replace it. But now the code came are these sensors crappy or something? i've never replaced one on any of my cars and now her's has gone through 3?

Only thing i'm seeing is maybe some dirt contaminants getting around the air filter and clogging it? (i saw some dust around the sensor)

edit: code is p0107

That sounds about right for atmospheric state. Under vacuum (engine running) I think it should be something like 1.9v. There isn't any reason it should have to be under pressure on a N/A car.

Did you check reference with the sensor plugged in?

Have you checked ground resistance?

Error code P0107 means that the ECU is seeing a low input from the sensor for some reason. This doesn't necessarily mean that the sensor itself is faulty. After replacing so many sensors this really seems to indicate the problem isn't with the sensor but very well could be with the wire connection to the ECU or the ECU itself could be faulty. Check the resistance from end to end on the sensor output wire to the ECU. Also check for possible connections to ground or power on that wire.
