bluebonnet81
I was changing the hose for the windshield wiper fluid, and when I finished the car wouldn't idle. I noticed a wire hanging near the belts so I am assuming that it fell off somewhere but I don't k ow where. All vacuum hoses are intact. Pic coming up... BoxerRebellion
Can we get another pick? A closer look at the end of the wire... What does it connect to? Where does it start?
bluebonnet81
It comes out of the group behind the air cleaner and routes underneath it forward. It has a long finger like bracket that looks like its bolt fell out. The wire is yellow/black stripe with the end that slides onto a prong. bluebonnet81
I have eliminated the wire. It is from the oil pressure sender that is no longer installed. The problem still exists though. Not sure why it won't idle all of the sudden.
Twitch de la Brat
Check for vacuum leaks. And yes, I was going to say it sounded like the oil pressure sending wire. Twitch
scoobiedubie
The clip on the end is the same as on the the wires that attach to the INSIDE of my 86 EA82 distributor. If I don't have all 4 wires hooked up exactly right, then it runs rough.
