yobhgareb
Hi guys. Ive bought a 3.7 lsd from an xt turbo to put in my l series . I am going to do the swap over at the weekend. From looking at the 3.7 diff this evening, ive noticed the bolt holding the stub axle has an odd shape head. is a special socket required for these? 86BRATMAN
Its an inverted torx socket (they have an actual name but I can't think of it right now). They're availible at most automotive parts stores. I can get you the exact size in a couple hours if nobody else posts it before I get to it.

Gloyale
1/4 drive, E10 DEEP socket is what you want. I ordered 2, keep one in the shop, one in the trail tools box of the wheeler.
el_freddo
I got away with using an 8mm hex deep socket to crack these bolts. The tool is just from a cheap socket set so I wasn't worried about it breaking - which it still hasn't!CheersBennie
