subawoohoo
Well, im sure glad, i went to the local pull your part and i picked up rear discks off of a loyal. They fit and look beautiful! and MAN do they work better than the drums!! i dont think my drums were even adjusted right when i got the car so all i had working were the front disks. anyway, it worked, on my 1980 hatch, and i thought that it was a gen 1. now its time for more mods. anyway my question i stripped my interior, and i want to get rid of that horrible tar crap that they lay down beneath the insulation. are there any ways to get rid of it? any help appriciated. thanks alot, tyler j. carfreak85
There are two good ways of getting the tar off. First is to get a bunch of liquid nitrogen and pour in onto the tar, then use a hammer and chisel to break off big 'ole sheets of the tar. Barring that, use a hot air gun and a big, stiff putty knife to scrape it off, beware of burns though! On a side note, the tar in my turbo wagon was old enough that it kinda flaked off when I cut a larger hole for my 5 speed shifter.

v8vega215
you can also use paint stripper that you would use to remove larg sections of paint, its kind of a gel substance. subarubrat.com did this to his rig.
Hondasucks
might want to put some dynamat or something down after you take the stock stuff out, my hatchback was horribly noisy on the freeway without that insulation in there.
