Savagelegy2000
I was wondering for those of you who own and are familiar to the 2000 Legacy GT model, if there are any tips and tricks into taking care and maintaining this model? Thanks for your tips and tricks!
brus brother
My 2000 with automatic transmission developed the delayed engagement. Tranny replaced under warranty. Search the site here for trans -x treatment as a "fix". In-laws had the dreaded head gasket failure on their 2000 at 80k miles. Other than that, it handled great and when I upgraded to the outback in 05 I really missed how well the car hugged the road. Good luck with yours. Savagelegy2000
Thanks yeah I'm starting to experience the delay but every now and then. I like how my legacy can take corners well
luko
I have two 2001 white legacy sedans and love them both. One an auto and other a 5 speed. I did overheat the auto one and bent a rod and just about blew her up but going to rebuild her soon. The 5 speed I put about 1,000 miles on a week. Just keep up on regular maintenance and use synthetic oils!!
Savagelegy2000
Thanks Luko! Is there any specific brand of synthetic oil?
