cohophysh
90 leg wagon...370K miles...for you electrical junkies, is there a relay in common with the horn and cruise control...both stopped working at roughly the same time. Thanks in advance.
Fairtax4me
That's typically the clock spring behind the steering wheel. If turning the wheel while pushing the horn button will make the horn work sporadically, this is a key indicator of a bad clock spring. I think Subaru has a different name for it but I can't remember it off-hand. They're usually fairly expensive from a dealer. Used may be a gamble but worth a shot as long as you install it correctly. LosDiosDeVerde86
My 96's (I know, very different) horn fuse was shared by the brake lights, which was shared with the switch that allows you to take it out of park. I know this because back when I installed air horns I didn't install an inline fuse and the horn kept blowing its main fuse. Every time this happened I had to tear up the console and stick a screw driver in a hole to get the car out of park. Likely completely unrelated, but interesting nonetheless.
