1-3-2-4
I can't get the opposing forces to load the complete car listing, does anyone have the part number for the separator plate? I think they come with the screws, at least I remember when I did my legacy.

1-3-2-4
well it's that or the rear main seal.. the car is down a qt every 2 weeks and it's dripping right down on the Y-pipe if it was not for the under cover he would have a spotty driveway. I know to know ASAP since he wants to to stop it. and before anyone else says it's not, I've changed his oil now 5 times and so I know because I heard from him first hand one day he went to check the oil and it was not reading on the dipstick. johnceggleston
i'm pretty sure they have used the same rear main seal since 1990, maybe before. yep, starting in 90 with the ej22, right up through 07 in the tribecca 3.6L engine. Oil seal, 806786040 http://opposedforces.com/parts/info/806786040/ Cover-oil separator, 11831AA210http://opposedforces.com/parts/forester/us_s10/type_13/engine/cylinder_block/illustration_1/ good luck Edited August 28, 2013 by johnceggleston
1-3-2-4
I'm reading on forester.org and it seems like a few others who have '01 models had leaks from the rear separator as well, maybe they used a weak sealant? He's told me if I was around he would of not kept the car that long and would of picked up a Toyota instead. btw the answer to my question is sep plate # 11831AA210 5 silver screws # 800406140 1 black screw # 800406150 Edited August 28, 2013 by 1-3-2-
johnceggleston
BTW, i had an ej25D that had an excessive oil leak from the rear. turned out to be the rear main seal. but not the seal per se. there was WAY too much end play in the crank shaft so the seal had no chance to do it's job. so check the end play when the engine is out. but probably not your issue. good luck.
