fishy
I just had to bite the expensive bullet and get a new driveshaft from the dealer for my 05 Outback because of time constraints and lack of local used parts availability. Have you checked on www.car-part.com for a replacement in nearby states? You might be able to bag a deal with not much shipping somewhere close by if you're not in a hurry for the part.good luck in any case!

lmdew
Yes, you can split them or pull the complete drive shaft and take it to a Drive Shaft Shop they will be able to rebuild it for you.

Check in the phone book - any place that does driveshafts (especially custom work) - should be able to rebuild yours.
