AustRabel
I have recently bought a hi/lo tranny for my loyale, and I was wondering I maybe putting some new parts in it or redoing somethings would be worth it before I put it in. I really don't know what would help. Any suggestions??
Crazyeights
I would pull the drain plug first and see if any metal is stuck to the magnet. These trans are very good if they haven't been abused too badly. If it looks good then just replace whatever seals you want to do with it out and run it! There is a good article on here about re-sealing if you need that. Make sure you can get the speedo cable connected BEFORE the trans goes in, The old cable could be broken off in the case. Gloyale
The 2 large bearings on the mainshafts are good to replace. Along with the input bearing in the front. It's housed in the retainer at the front of the topshaft.
