Loyale 2.7 Turbo
You Shall Close that Water port, as I explained in my Weber Swap Writeup, Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/71510-ideas-on-swaping-a-weber-carb-on-ea82%C2%B4s/ Either with Cold Welding Compound, or Aluminium Welding (As I Did) or you can make a Thread using Helicoil and close it with the Thread of a Headless Screw, ... (etc) ... but there shall not be Water Flow on that area, anymore; with a Weber Carb. (by the way, I think that I already answered your Weber Questions -including this one- in another Weber Carb thread of yours) Kind Regards. What Loyale2.7 was saying is to close that hole with JB weld. Fill it and file it flat. use a regular base gasket provided.
spazomatic
I had the same problem Lacy, fifuring that coolant needed to be there. mounted the weber and....coolant leak! I drilled and tapped the hole, and used an allen head pipe plug, then leveled it off with JB weld. Done
