AWD J3wman
Whats the lowest riding strut that will fit the back of a GL-10/Loyale? I have a 4WD that i am trying to lower, I already have coilover sleeves off a CRX in the back and all the way down they still have 1 fist of wheel gap.I have 175/70 tires on it and Monroe 4wd struts, I know i can get them to tuck the tires, ive seen a FWD Loyale personally that low.I have attached pics of my car as it is now Edited October 14, 2013 by AWD J3wman
tractor pole
http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/126929-advice-on-struts-ea82-five-lug/ in this thread there is a suggestion of NB Miata rear struts.
wagonist
Apparently another trick is to turn over the strut top mounts and use them upside down
jono
What measure subaru items do you have - as a starting point would not hurt you giving some measures I think I have measured 125mm from spring perch to bottom mount hole centre on a Sube strut/shock for rar of EA82
MilesFox
I would guess a 4wd xt for the rears, and a FWD xt for the font would be the shortest strut.
AWD J3wman
Is that just a guess or is there any measurements to back that up?
MilesFox
I don't know the measurements, but the xts have a lower ride height, fwd being the lowest, but the rear strut is shorter on a 4wd than on a 2wd if using it in a 4wd car.
AWD J3wman
I know the front struts drop it 2" idk about the backs
ShakotanBoogie
Flipping the top mount on the rear struts will give you an extra 1" but you will need to do some hammering in the wheel well for clearance. Otherwise just run shorter springs. Circle track universal springs, 8" tall 2.5" diameter, 200-250lb or so will give you good tuck and slip right on your OE shocks with no mods.
