aba4430
The left sun visor on my 87 Brat keeps on flopping down. I can pull it out a bit and it will hold. I have tried tightening a screw on the visor and it helps some, but after a few times, the visor becomes loose again and just flops. New ones are not available anymore. What are folks doing for replacements? Any after-market options, or do visors from any newer Subaru's work?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Usually, it becomes loose because the internal clamp breaks... I've solved that issue in other cars by adding an "External" clamp over the broken one, it doesn't look good but is not much noticeable, and works flawlessly. turbosubarubrat
You also could use velcrow strips to hold it up so it cant be seen when its up.
TomRhere
Color matched Velcro was my thought as well when the DS visor in one of the BRATs did that. Never did it though, just carried a stubby Phillips screwdriver in the door pocket.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Well, for some time I slipped half of a Plastic card, with the Size of a Credit Card, between the Top of the Side Window's upper plastic trim and the Roof, and the other half outside held the Sun Visor up. Kind Regards.
rrgrr
Try one of those black binder clips around where the clamp is -find the right size/place and put it on, then pull the "legs" off of it. You'll never notice it. Haven't tried this on a subaru,(I'm about to) but it has worked on others. If it doesn't work, well, you're out .05 cents!
