mcbrat
the king is right. there's a gear ratio link here that lists ratios. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/ the original USRM link on the same page might have something on it too....
crazyhorse001
Thanks for the quick replies. That means the 3.9 lsd i have will work, with a few minor mods. Like changing the stub axles. Its out of an XT6 5spd
the sucker king
curious about this, is that a viscous or clutch type lsd and do you know if it was stock to the car you pulled it from? I've always heard there was a stock clutch type 3.9 used in some some models but have never seen one first hand.
Gloyale
Thanks for the quick replies. That means the 3.9 lsd i have will work, with a few minor mods. Like changing the stub axles. Its out of an XT6 5spd If it's a rear diff we are talking about, there will be no need to swap stub axles. Only the front axles are different23 vs. 25, rears are all 23 spline. crazyhorse001
Even better! Yes, its a rear diff i need to swap. The 3.9 lsd, i have no idea if its stock to the xt6 or not. The car SEEMS pretty stock, but rusted really horribly. Im just stoked that its a bolt in for my hatch. At some far point in the future it'll get a full 5lug swap, and the 5spd difflock trans from the 6 as well. My hatch will never see offroad again. Im going the opposite way with it. I have a 28 mile commute over twisty mountain roads. I plan on dropping it, doing coilovers, and wide, wide tires lol. Think 80's california canyon carver. the sucker king
is there a sticker on the diff? I have never seen a 3.9 LSD sticker besides vlsd or was this rear end converted at one time?
