Travislee
Hey Everyone. I have a '95 Legacy LS. I'm pretty sure it's about time to change the struts. I believe they are original parts on a legacy with 350k on it. I was thinking about putting some outback struts on it, hopefully giving it 1 to 1-1/2 inch lift. Just enough room for a slightly more aggressive tire. I'm not sure if I can just swap the struts out or do I need to swap other parts out in addition to make it all compatible. Thanks for any input you have Travis.
AdventureSubaru
Direct bolt in. No modification necessary. Yields a couple inches of lift and will let you clear up to a 28 inch tire if you wish.Have fun!
Fairtax4me
Outback strut by itself will give you just a hair over 1" lift. Put forester spring on and you'll get close to another inch.
upnorthguy
There has been some discussion about this in another recent thread here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/141833-questions-on-lifting-my-95-legacy-sedan/?hl=lifting
heartless
a 95 Legacy with a straight Forester Strut swap - complete assembly - pull them out of the Forester, stuff them in the Legacy - nets almost 2 inches on the stock tires.
