calebz Posted April 28, 2004 Share Posted April 28, 2004 You need to remove the whole pedal box and put one in from a 5 speed car.. yes there is a hole for the clutch cable. In addition to GDs list, you will need the tranny cross member your rear diff is a 3.70.. there are 3 different 5 speed manuals that will also have the 3.70 ratio.. they are all out of turbo cars.. basically if you get a 5 speed from a turbo car, you are good to go.. if you get one from an NA car, you will need the natching rear diff. calebz Posted April 28, 2004 Share Posted April 28, 2004 This time, when I swapped the tranny in my car a couple weeks ago, I had the complete donor car to pull parts from .. thats the best way.. otherwise, junkyards and board members are the way to go.. When i first did my conversion last june, I did it without the donor car.. only piece I got from the junkyard was the interior console piece.. got the rest of the parts form various board members. Just noticed you are in Oregon.. washington and oregon are soob central.. there will be no shortage of parts.. chances are, someone on the board between portland and seattle will have most of the stuff you need.. if not, there are a milion soobs in the yards there.. although my experience with prices in oregon yards has never been that great.. might be worth the drive to the Tacoma pull a part Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
