Out West
70mph on the freeway when the engine started to missfire, exited and drove at 35 mph 2 miles home. motor starts and idles, when i put the code reader on i got PO301 and PO302. what would cause a missfire like that? faulty coil pack, something going to ground? johnceggleston
#1 & 2 are on the same coil, the front half. #3 & 4 are on the rear half. so that might be it. the igniter, which feeds the coil, also operates front and rear like the coil so it could be that as well. i don't know which is more expensive? but used might be a good solution. they do not have a huge failure rate. branbikenut1
Ive been having that same issue with my 99 legacy SUS. I changed the coil, ignitor, plugs and wires. Th issue for me end up being the oil pack. I mixed and matched between my old ones and new ones and thats what i foubd. Hope yours is as simple as mine was
