djmark7 Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 '97 leg 2.5 just had hg done, after driving and idling temp goes up a bit over 1/2 from a bit below 1/2 when i speed up the idle it drops back down, also some gurgling from heater core also seems like its not pressurizing, holding coolant though, is that normal for cold weather? as i said, it is holding coolant, no bubbles in overflow, thnx for the input Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Fairtax4me Posted January 6, 2014 Share Posted January 6, 2014 Gurgling means there is still air in the system. Did you fill the block through the upper radiator hose? If you just fill the radiator the block will air-lock and will not fill. The system should hold at least 1.5 gallons. Any less than that goes in, the system has air in it.
