hippiesara
I have a 98 subaru outback legacy. Just recently I went to start it and it won't run. It's turns over fine and wants to run but just won't. At first thought it was some really bad gas (because I just filled up my tank) so I checked the fuel filter. Fuel filter is fine and so is the fuel pump. It's been running great, no issues or any sign of trouble. Anyone have any suggestion.

johnceggleston
if the fuel pump is working, my suggestion is to check the timing. remove the timing covers one each side of the engine, 3 bolts each side. see if the cam sprocket timing marks line up correctly. both should be pointing in the exact same direction. you may have to turn the engine over by hand to find the marks.
