eqvance
will a 1.6l motor from a 1986 dl fit in a 1986 gl wagon that had a 1.8l in it?
Wasteland
If the starter is on the drivers side of the bellhousing than it will bolt to the 1.8 tranny. If the starter is in the middle of the bellhousing than it will only fit the 1.6. Being an '86 it should be a wide body bellhousing.

Wasteland
No kiddin! I just moved to New Castle this month. Both the wife and I work in Glenwood. Do you Ski, broard or bike? I've been a board/bike tech in the valley for almost 10 years now. I might have worked on your gear!
eqvance
if you just moved to new castle, look for a guy named ''biker dave'', looks like sammy haggar, but with long long blond hair, usually braided. we were good friends when i lived up the frying pan outside of basalt. so you think that 1.6l will fit if the starter is on the drivers side?did some sking, but mostly dirt biking & fourwheeling, now i live down in the mississippi delta, i've got some farm land down here, about 1 hour below memphis. my place is about 10 minutes away from the famed ''crossroads'', where robert johnson made the deal with the devil
